Dream Your Dream How would you like to be the editorial page editor of The New York Times? (One of our grads is.) How would you like to be a columnist for Sports Illustrated? (That’s another grad.) Journalism majors learn the research, reporting and writing skills needed to understand how to communicate in our complex cultural, sociological and political climate. They’re working for top-notch newspapers and magazines and radio and television stations.

Learning Power With the help of a forward-looking faculty, the Journalism program emphasizes time-tested reporting strategies, the principles of ethics and professional standards of writing. The computer labs and the New Media Center, with powerful high-end computers, permit advanced work in writing and producing DVDs, Web pages, netzines and other cutting-edge news formats. Learn through an internship with a local magazine or newspaper. As soon as you arrive on campus you can join the staffs of the award-winning Marquette Tribune, a twice -weekly newspaper with an on-line edition, and the Marquette Journal, a quarterly magazine. Did We Mention? Marquette's Journalism program is the only accredited program at a Catholic university in the U.S.
