Why Marquette?
Having worked with the Urban Journalism Workshop for the past 24 years, I’ve found that young people will rise to your expectations. If they know that you’re behind them and supportive of their efforts, they will try to succeed. Hard work, encouragement and trust in the student’s abilities go a long way to produce results. Knowing that you’re helping the students along the way, that you’ve reached young people and helped them reach their goals, gives you a feeling of accomplishment.
