At the National Communication Association Annual Convention in San Antonio, TX, Dr. D'Urso received the "Rookie Adviser of the Year Award" from the national Lambda Pi Eta organization. The award was presented along with awards for "Rookie Chapter," "Adviser" and "Chapter" of the Year awards. Dr. D'Urso was nominated by 2005-06 LPH Officers Michuda, Sinsky, and Hodapp.

Dr. D'Urso receives the "Rookie Adviser of the Year Award" from Candice Burch, National Office Student Secretary, and Sara Baker, Student Organizations Coordinator for NCA.
