Membership Eligibility Requirements
Students
become eligible for consideration in their Junior year. New members
must meet the following criteria:
1) Have completed at least 60 semester hours
2) Achieved a grade point average of at least 3.0 overall
3) Working towards a Major or Minor in Communication Studies
4) Completed at least 12 hours of Communication courses (CMST or
COMM)
5) Achieved a grade point average in the Communication courses of
at least 3.25
A potential new member list is generated at the beginning of the
Fall and Spring semesters. Eligible students are then informed of
their status and are invited to become a member.
Membership dues are $50 (covers the cost of certificate, pin and
graduation honor cords) for the first year, and $10 for the second
year.
