Hunger Cleanup 2008

Hunger
Cleanup 2008 saw 5 LPH members and their advisor (and his wife -
Thanks Jenn) participate in the annual Marquette event. This year,
along with dozens of other MU participants, LPH helped in the
cleanup of the Amani Neighborhood near 27th and Fond du Lac. We
were given the task of cleaning up an abandoned lot which had been
used as a dumping ground for refuse and other debris rendering it
unsafe even though it was often used by neighborhood children as a
playground. Following our efforts (see below) it is now a much
cleaner and safer place for everyone in the neighborhood. This same
treatment was given to many places in the Amani neighborhood and
was appreciated by Project Respect (the local
sponsor).
