Gifts for Holiday Giving Tree Delivered

HolidayGivingTree

The officers of the Marquette chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, on behalf of its membership, delivered the gifts purchased with the funds raised this semester. Kathy Hawkins (far right) accepted the gifts on behalf of the Holiday Giving Tree. Thank you once again to all who helped us in this Christmas endeavor.

Holiday Gift Tree Shopping/Gift Wrapping

Today, Santa and his elves (aka the advisor and officers of Lambda Pi Eta) went shopping a Target for our Holiday Giving Tree Adoptees. We purchased a number of nice items including sweatshirt hoodies, portable CD players, gloves, jeans, a CD, and a blazer (all items requested by adoptees). The fun time continued later in the day as we wrapped all of the gifts, with an additional elf (Rachel Caldwell) pitching in her time. All in all, it was a lot of fun and we know that the recipients of these gifts will have a little bit of the Christmas spirit coming their way soon.

Bake Sale

Today, the Beta Epsilon chapter of Lambda Pi Eta held its first bake sale to support the Holiday Giving Tree project. Members and friends of the organization brought lots of wonderful cookies, brownies and other tasty snacks for the sale. From 9a to 3p in Straz Hall, several members donated their time and effort to ensure that we had a successful outing. The end result was GREAT. We raised over $165 dollars for our efforts. Thank you to everyone who baked, bought, or sold the baked goodies.
