Faculty Research Colloquium

Workshop Wrapup

The Student Résumé and Internship Workshop was a success. Over the course of the two workshops we had approximately 15-20 students participate. Representatives from a number of local organizations and business presented on both evenings. All had very worthwhile advice and information for the students. Some students even walked away having made some very good contacts and possible internship opportunities for the spring semester.

Meet the Dean Night

Last night, students in the College of Communication had the opportunity to sit down and chat with the new Dean of our College, Dr. John Pauly. Many topics were covered in the one hour event including learning about the dean, challenges and opportunities associated with the Diederich donation, and the Career Mentoring Program. Dr. Pauly was pleased to be able to meet with the undergraduates in an open environment like this and looks forward to other opportunities to do so.

Other items - This semester, the officers are working towards presenting the membership with a draft constitution of our local chapter. As soon as a draft is completed, it will be circulated among the membership. It is hoped that a constitution can be finalized and approved sometime in the spring semester.
