Commencement Overview

The Commencement ceremony will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m.  It is expected to be over by 11:30 a.m.

Tickets

Tickets are not needed and families and friends are invited to attend.  Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Candidate Attendance

Attendance is required of all candidates for May graduation and academic apparel is to be worn.  Prior permission to be absent must be obtained from the individual dean.

Candidate Entrance Location

All candidates for graduation please enter at the west entrances of the Bradley Center by 8:45 a.m. on Sunday May 20, 2007.

Procession lines will form at 9:15 a.m.  There will be no rehearsal and complete instructions will be provided at the Bradley Center.

School & College Assembly

Candidates should assemble around the banner of their respective school or college.  All candidates will march in the academic procession and be seated during the Commencement ceremony according to individual schools and colleges.

Graduate School candidates will be divided into two groups:  master’s degree candidates and Ph.D./Ed.D. candidates.  Please assemble around your respective banners. 

Entrance and Seating for People With Disabilities

People with disabilities requiring seating for Commencement exercises may enter at the main entrances of the Bradley Center and take the elevator to the second level.  Elevators are located in the inner lobby, behind the staircase.
