Major in Professional Communication

As organizations become more interrelated locally and globally, individuals who demonstrate effective communication skills will become increasingly more valuable. Professional Communication helps students enhance their marketability in today's business environment through the integration of theory and practice, and the development of essential interpersonal and organizational skills.

Who is it for?

The Professional Communication major is ideal for individuals with an interest in administrative, supervisory or managerial positions which require an understanding of communication strategy and theory, critical analysis, and the management of organizations and group interactions.

Students may use a Professional Communication degree to launch their professional career or as the foundation for a graduate program or law school.

CMST Major (10 courses, 30 credits)

All Professional Communication majors are required to take ALL of the following courses:

CMST 154Persuasion3 credit hours
