This 11-week professional development program is designed for two audiences: participants seeking continuing professional development and a broad overview of the field, and participants preparing to take the national Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) examination.
Marquette University's program has had an outstanding record of participants passing the certification exams. Per Fall 2006 statistics 100% of students who took Marquette's PHR Preparation course passed the exam compared to 63% nationally. Simply stated by many former students: "I could not have passed the exam without this program."
The program uses the SHRM Learning System®. As a professional development tool, the Learning System can increase a participant's knowledge of the field of human resources and provide a current reference of HR practices. As a certification preparation tool, the Learning System has a measurable track record of success for those qualified to sit for the exam.
The PHR Certification Preparation Program is offered in cooperation with the Human Resource Management Association of Southeastern Wisconsin (HRMA). Fee includes all course materials but does not cover registration for the PHR or SPHR examinations.
