Health Care Administration Specialization
Who is it for?
The specialization is designed for those who want to prepare themselves for management positions within the health care industry.
As managed care and the integration of health care delivery continue to evolve, new skills and knowledge are needed to keep pace with current demands. The program provides a foundation in finance, economics, policy, leadership, systems, and outcome planning and evaluation, specifically related to the changing health care system.
Through the many elective offerings — informatics, case management, marketing, program development, administrative practicum, conflict resolution, long-term care and more — students can explore a wide range of special interests.

Curriculum
To earn a master's degree in leadership studies, you must complete a total of 36 credit hours of course work. You must complete 18 credit hours of core leadership studies courses and 12 credit hours in your specialization. Additionally, you need to earn 6 credit hours in completing a master's thesis (Plan A) or an integrated capstone project (Plan B).
