Nicole Truog, Associate Director for the Center for Real Estate

 

Nicole Truog is the Associate Director for the Center for Real Estate and is responsible for program administration and operations, external affairs and outreach, CRE communications, and ACRE program administration. 

Nicole brings a wealth of experience in banking and urban development to the program; prior to Marquette, Truog worked at LaSalle Bank as the Manager of Sustainable Development in the Community & Sustainable Development group.  She was responsible for the bank’s North America sustainability efforts to implement social and environmental business practices and programs and worked with local government, national and international NGOs, and employee stakeholders.  During Truog’s 8 years at LaSalle Bank she was also a project manager and consultant in several other departments including Banking Operations and Business Performance Improvement.   Additionally, Truog briefly worked for former Milwaukee Mayor John Norquist at The Congress for the New Urbanism. 

Truog received the YWCA of Metropolitan Chicago inaugural Promise Award in recognition for her civic and corporate leadership and currently serves on the Loyola University Chicago Milwaukee Alumni Board and the School Sisters of St. Francis Community Engagement Board. 

Nicole received her B.S. from Marquette University and holds a Masters of Arts degree in Urban Development and Public Policy from Loyola University Chicago.  She is an adjunct faculty member in Marquette’s Graduate School of Management, teaching a course on Corporate Social Responsibility.
