What is the CSC?
The Marquette University Career Services Center strives to assist all students and alumni in discerning, developing, and pursuing meaningful traditional and non-traditional career paths. This is achieved through...
Teaching students and alumni to develop lifelong job search skills and use online and traditional career resources:
- Providing leadership and support in the career area to the university;
- Developing positive relationships with employers resulting in student and employer connections; and
- Supporting institutional outcomes and research endeavors.
We do all of this in a caring and supportive student-focused environment and in support of Marquette University’s mission.
What can I not find at the CSC?
The CSC does not provide placement services. CSC offers a wide variety of resources to assist you in locating opportunities and teaching you the skills you will need to engage in lifelong career development. Collection of Handouts:

What is that Big CSC cart I see on campus?
The big cart you are referring to is the “Career Services On-the-Go Cart”. The Cart holds a wide variety of handouts and guides to help you stay on top of your Career game. The Career Ambassadors hold remote hours in the AMU twice a week in order to reach out the students and promote the CSC.
Who are the Career Ambassadors and what do they do?
Career Ambassadors are energetic students active in getting the word out about the Career Services Center. As employees of the Center, Ambassadors provide an outreach to the student body and inform everyone with the current happenings and offerings available. They work to get students excited about the Career Services Center and to help the Marquette community realize and further take advantage of the great resources the Center has to offer.

What are Career Ambassador Cards?
Each of the five Career Ambassadors has their own business cards. When you speak to an ambassador, make sure you pick up their card (I am predicting free Jimmy Johns in the future...So listen up!). Just write your name and the service utilized on the back of the card and when you stop in to the center, drop it into the fishbowl at the front desk. At the end of each month, a card will be picked from the bowl and the winner will receive a Jimmy John’s gift certificate. Free lunch goes great with a new job, internship, or perfected resume, so stop in today! J
