In general all students are encouraged to have completed one or even more internships by the time they graduate in their field of study. Federal regulations permit students with F-1 and J-1 visa status opportunities for employment related to their studies. The Office of International Education provides guidance to international students wishing to apply for internships and off-campus employment. We suggest that you work with your academic advisor to identifying internships appropriate to your program. When you have been offered an internship for academic
credit, you must then communicate with the Office of International Education
and fill out the necessary paperwork.
