The Center for Teaching and Learning is currently offering the following grants, fellowships and stipends for faculty:
Problem Solver Seed Grant
The CTL offers small seed grants (up to $500) to assist faculty with innovative teaching projects that contribute to solving a problem in the community. If you have a thought on a class project or service learning/community based research project that needs a start-up fund, send an e-mail to Kim Jensen Bohat, Director, Service Leraning Program at the Center for Teaching & Learning. Applications are continually accepted. Please note: these funds may only be used for supplies and cannot be used for salary or regular office expenses.
Seminar on Catholic Higher Education
The purpose of the seminar is to help faculty understand and appreciate the history and tradition of Catholic and Jesuit higher education in this country and to consider the many ways they can contribute to and strengthen mission as they teach, conduct research, advise students, and participate in their communities. This seminar is different from most other mission seminars in that the focus is academic.
Participants will receive a one-course reduction paid for by the Center for Teaching and Learning in the spring semester. (This seminar is for Spring 2013 and will begin January 2013.) Please send your nominations to Susan Mountin, Director, Manresa for Faculty in the Center for Teaching & Learning, or call 288-3693.
If you would like more information or have questions, contact the Center for Teaching and Learning at (414)-288-0263.
