distance learning classroom
The Center for Teaching and Learning’s distance learning classroom seats 30 people. Users have the ability to record presentations of documents, PowerPoint, web sites, videos, and DVD’s. The classroom is also equipped with 22 wireless laptops that are available for faculty and students to learn web design, digital editing, and other applications that are incorporated into the teaching and learning of faculty and students.
The classroom is equipped with state of the art audio visual equipment. It offers users the ability to make either ISDN or IP video conference calls. Two cameras mounted in the room display the presenter or the audience.
Marquette University is a member of Internet2. This relationship allows video conferencing calls over high-speed networks with other Internet2 member institutions and international partner networks. The high-bandwidth systems allow faculty and staff to work in real time with colleagues across the country.
Persons interested in learning more about the classroom or it's availability should contact Nicholas La Joie at 288-8808.
