About Marquette

About Marquette

Faculty, staff and students come to Marquette University to share a commitment to the pursuit of excellence in all things as a lifelong endeavor. They come to join a community whose members believe that education must encompass the whole person: spiritual and moral as well as intellectual, the heart as well as the mind.  This Web page will introduce you to Marquette University.Gesu Church

We Are Marquette

The We Are Marquette site provides a brief, but likely compelling, video introduction to why We Are Marquette.  We Are Marquette — you'll hear it passionately spoken around campus between students, faculty, staff and alumni. But what does it really mean? Not surprisingly, it's more than just a catch phrase, just like Marquette is more than just a university. "We Are Marquette" is shorthand for describing all of the dynamics of the Marquette community and the academic and spiritual growth of all of its members.

Mission Statement

Marquette's mission and vision statements define who we are and what we do.

Calendar of Events

The campus calendar of events is a comprehensive list of events at Marquette, with a side menu organizing links by specific categories.

Mission Week

Established in 1998, the Office of Mission and Identity exists to advance the awareness and realization of Marquette's mission as Catholic, Jesuit university in every dimension of University life.  During Mission Week the Office of Mission and Identity invites world-renown speakers to inspire the Marquette community.  Visit the Mission Week page to watch some of these speakers, including Paul Rusesabagina, subject of the film Hotel Rwanda, Arun Gandhi, grandson or Muhatma Gandhi, Lech Walesa, founder of the Solidarity labor movement, campaigner for human rights, former president of Poland and Nobel laureate, The Most Rev.
