Office of the Provost
The Center for Teaching and Learning operates under the auspices of the Provost and reports to the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Programs and Teaching. This relationship recognizes the centrality of faculty development, assessment and technology to the educational mission of Marquette University.
Center for Electronic Learning
The Center for Electronic Learning assists faculty in the development and delivery of on-line courses. Additionally, the Center trains educators in effective design and instruction of web-supported courses.
College of Education
The Marquette University College of Education works directly with the Center to enhance and support teacher education at all levels. Innovative programs that respond to instructional needs in the k-12 classroom are facilitated through the Center for Teaching and Learning.
Information Technology Services
Information Technology Services provides support for the Marquette’s course management tool, Desire2Learn (D2L) in offices housed in the Center for Teaching and Learning. Additionally, network support for Internet2 activities originating in the Center are supported by ITS.
Instructional Media Center
The Instructional Media Center staff occupy the Center for Teaching and Learning assisting with faculty training, special projects and systems operation and administration. A media specialist is available full time to coordinate technology needs.
Raynor Memorial Libraries
As a resident of the new Raynor Memorial Library, the Center for Teaching and Learning works closely with Library staff to share resources, offer joint programs and manage technology assets.
