Administrative Position for Practice Placement Coordinator
Marquette University School of Dentistry invites applications for a full time, administrative position.
This individual will work throughout the State of Wisconsin networking, establishing relationships, and developing programming designed to provide information and opportunities conducive to the placement of a dentist in an area of the state designated as a healthcare professional shortage area. The Coordinator will work with the Director of Rural Outreach Programs to help extend the community based experiences of dental students and to establish opportunities for placement. Additional responsibilities include: planning and implementing programming that promotes and encourages the placement of dentists in underserved areas of the state, facilitate relationship building between interested communities, local dentists and other interested parties. The Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Rural Outreach Programs and will report directly to the Dean of the Dental School.
Preferred candidates will have a bachelor's degree, have a recruitment or sales background relevant to education, possess excellent organizational skills, demonstrate excellent verbal, written, computer and interpersonal skills of the quality associated with professional public service organizations or educational institutions, work well in a team environment and be capable of self-direction displaying initiative and an ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced deadline oriented environment. This position will require at least 50% of the coordinator working throughout the State of Wisconsin - extensive travel required. Experience working in higher education and dentistry is preferred.

Faculty Position for Comprehensive Patient Management Group (CMPG) Leader
Marquette University School of Dentistry, Department of General Dental Sciences invites applications for a full time, clinical track faculty position.
Group Leaders oversee the students, patients and staff assigned to the groups and are responsible for the management of all patient care delivered within the groups. CPMG Leaders provide guidance, monitoring and direct clinical supervision to their assigned students and promote comprehensive patient care and serve as mentors and dentist role models. They are responsible for implementing clinical policies. Group leaders are expected to model professionalism in oral health care at its best. The Group Leaders report to the Chair of General Dental Sciences for academic matters and to the Clinic Director for matters relating to clinical operations.
Candidates must have earned a doctorate or a terminal degree. Five years of teaching experience or other suitable professional experience is required. Qualified applicants must have a DMD/DDS degree from a US or Canadian dental school recognized by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation or a comparable foreign degree. Faculty Position for Predoctoral Program Director, General Dentistry
Marquette University School of Dentistry, Department of General Dental Sciences invites applications for a full time, tenure track faculty position in General Dentistry.
This position includes responsibilities as program director for the general dentistry curriculum. Teaching responsibilities include: predoctoral restorative dentistry programming (clinic and pre-clinic supervision) and course directorships, responsibilities also include curriculum development and innovation. Administrative responsibilities include faculty assignments and schedules for the clinical and didactic programs, research, faculty calibration and standardization.
Faculty may have the opportunity to participate in MUSOD’s Faculty Practice. Qualified applicants must have a DMD/DDS degree from a US or Canadian dental school recognized by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation or a comparable foreign degree. Faculty Position for Assistant Professor, Prosthodontics
Marquette University School of Dentistry, Department of General Dental Sciences invites applications for full-time, faculty positions in Prosthodontics available July 1, 2008 (starting date negotiable). Faculty at MUSOD have substantial teaching, clinical and service responsibilities.
This position requires teaching dental students and graduate students in all disciplines of prosthetic dentistry. Teaching responsibilities include: pre-doctoral fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics (clinical and preclinical); course directorship (including course development and innovation) and supervision of students in the post-graduate prosthodontics program. Clinical supervision of pre-doctoral students would include the main campus clinics and at outreach clinics in the state of Wisconsin.
Candidates must be graduates of an advanced education program in Prosthodontics. Qualified applicants must have a DMD/DDS degree from a US or Canadian dental school recognized by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation or a comparable foreign degree.
Applicants must hold a valid dental license in some state or jurisdiction and be eligible for a regular license or faculty license in the State of Wisconsin. Faculty Position for Chair, Department of Surgical Sciences
Marquette University School of Dentistry invites applications for a full time, tenure track faculty position for Chair, Department of Surgical Sciences effective January 1, 2009 (starting date negotiable).
The Chair will oversee the disciplines of Endodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Periodontics. This position will have responsibilities in the following areas: undergraduate curriculum, graduate program, faculty and staff matters, resources and budget issues and other administrative areas.
