Doctor of Dental Surgery

The degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery is conferred upon completion of the four-year curriculum. All candidates must demonstrate competency as defined in "Competencies of a New Dentist."

In addition, students must have successfully completed all course work and have met all graduate requirements.

Gerontology Certificate Program

DDS students may elect to pursue The School of Dentistry's Gerontology certificate program.

Administered through the University Institute for Urban Life and the Wisconsin Geriatric Education Center, the program requires completion of four courses during the DDS program (some of these are offered in the evenings).

Information can be obtained from the Office of Research and Graduate Studies in the School of Dentistry.
