Introduction & General Information

The School of Dentistry Office for Research and Graduate Studies was founded in 1998. The mission of this office is "to promote academic excellence, facilitate faculty/student development, and advance integrative/interdisciplinary interactions within the university, surrounding academic institutions, and the community.

Emphasis is placed on those initiatives that establish a unique niche and/or competitive advantage. These goals will be accomplished while maintaining cost/operational efficiencies and congruence with the institutional and university mission". This new emphasis represents a significant departure from past history.

The School of Dentistry, historically recognized as an excellent clinical institution, is seeking to add a nationally/internationally recognized academic and scholarly component to its profile.
