Jose A. Bosio, DDS MS
Dr. Bosio received his DDS degree from the Pontifical Catholic University, Curitiba, Parana, Brazil in 1987. He moved to Rochester in 1991, where he attended the Post-graduated in TMD at Eastman Dental Center, Rochester, NY, for 2 years. In 1996 he received the Masters of Sciences Degree and the Certificate in Orthodontics from The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH. He returned to Brazil to work in his two private practice offices for 11 years, in Curitiba, PR, and Concordia, SC. Dr. Bosio was Diplomate by the American Board of Orthodontics in 2002 and Brazilian Board of Orthodontics in 2004; In 2008 he accepted the position of Assistant Professor and Graduate Clinic Director of the Developmental Sciences/Orthodontics – Marquette University School of Dentistry. He is the Reviewer of the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, Revista Dental Press de Ortodontia e Ortopedia Facial and Revista da SOGAOR. Dr. Bosio was one of the 2008 recipients of the AAO/ADEA - Academy of Academic Leadership Sponsorship Program and the 2009 AAO Full-time Faculty Teaching (FFT) Fellowship Program Awards, both programs sponsored by AAO. In 2010 he served as an examiner for the American Board of Orthodontists.
Dawei Liu, DDS, MS, PhD
Dr. Dawei Liu graduated from China Medical University with his DDS in 1990, and got his certificate and MS in orthodontics in 1994. After that, he pursued a PhD in bone biology at the Beijing Medical University (now Peking University, from 1994 to 1997). After working at the Chinese Stomatological Association (CSA) as vice director of international exchanges for 2 years, he accepted invitation from Dr. Birte Melson and worked as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Orthodontics at the Royal Dental College (now Aarhus University), Denmark from 1999-2002. Bearing his European experience, in 2002 Dr. Liu took a position at the Department of Orthodontics at Indiana University in the US and worked for 3 years. In 2005, Dr. Liu moved to Marquette University and currently is the predoctoral program director and research director in the Department of Developmental Sciences/Orthodontics. Besides his teaching and clinical responsibilities, as a researcher Dr. Liu is focusing on the investigation of the effects of mechanical perturbation on orthodontic tooth movement and root resroption, in an attempt to shorten the total treatment time and reduce the risk of root resorption in clinical orthodontic patients. His research has been supported by a variety of funds including the American Association of Orthodontics Foundation (2005-2008), European Orthodontic Society (2006-2008), and Marquette University Start-up fund. In merit of his research achievements, Dr. Liu received the Robert M. Ricketts Sunflower Orthodontics Fellowship Award (2006), Alice L. Jee Memorial Young Investigator Award under the American Society of Bone and Mineral Research (2006, 2007), Willie and Earl Shepherd Fellowship Award (2007), and Orhan C. Tuncay Teaching Fellowship Award (2008). Dr. Liu has been invited to speak on the Moyers’ symposium (2009) and on the annual meeting of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO, 2010). In 2009, Dr. Liu completed his US orthodontic training and got certificate and MS in orthodontics from Marquette University. Besides, in 2009 he attended the Academy of Academic Leadership Sponsorship Program (AALSP) supported by the AAO and the American Dental and Educational Association (ADEA). Dr. Liu is an active member of the AAO, EOS, ASBMR and ORS. He serves on the editorial board of the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, and as reviewers for several other journals.

David L. Olsen, DDS, MS
Dr. David L. Olsen received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Marquette University in 1980 after getting his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay in 1976. He practiced general dentistry for one year and then returned to Marquette University where he earned his Certificate and Masters Degree in the specialty of Orthodontics in 1983. Dr. Olsen associated in the specialty of Orthodontics for another 2 ½ years before he opened his solo practice on the South side of Appleton in 1986. Dr. Olsen is certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, and is a member and past president of the Outagamie County Dental Society. He served on the steering committee for the Tri-County Community Dental Clinic, and since 1994 has been on the Peer Review Committee for the Wisconsin Society of Orthodontists. His professional memberships also include the Wisconsin Society of Orthodontists, the Wisconsin Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Olsen has been a member of the Orthodontic Faculty of Marquette Dental School since 2006. Dr. Olsen lives in Appleton with his wife, Cyndi, and has three sons.

Dr. D. Spencer Pope is a board certified orthodontist practicing in the Chicago suburbs. He is a graduate of Northwestern University Dental School, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery, a certificate in Orthodontics, and a Masters in Oral Biology. Dr. Pope was the Clinic Director of Northwestern University's Orthodontic Department until it closed in 1999. He has been on the faculty of Marquette University's Orthodontic Department since 2000. Dr. Pope served as the 2009-10 President of the Illinois Society of Orthodontists, and was the president of the South Suburban Branch of the Chicago Dental Society in 2008-09. Dr. Peter Reichl
Dr. Peter Reichl, grew up in Greendale, Wisconsin. He graduated from Marquette University High School in 1977 and then studied engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. After graduating from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 1984, he completed a General Dentistry Residency at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Dr. Reichl then served as a United States Army general dentist in Berlin, Germany and North Carolina until he entered his orthodontic residency. In 1994 Dr. Reichl received his Certificate in Orthodontics from the Advanced Education Program in Orthodontics, Fort Knox, Kentucky, and his Master of Science Degree from the University of Louisville. Following his residency he worked as a military orthodontist in Baumholder Germany and Mons Belgium until returning to Wisconsin in 1996 to work in private practice. Dr. Reichl is certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and is a member in the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Reichl is a member of the American Dental Association, the Wisconsin Dental Association, the Waukesha County Dental Society, the American Association of Orthodontics, the Midwest Society of Orthodontics, and the Wisconsin Society of Orthodontics. He is a part-time faculty member in the Orthodontic Department of Marquette University School of Dentistry since 2005.
Todd Connell, DDS, MS
Born in Wauwatosa in 1964, Dr. is a native Wisconsinite in every sense of the word. His fervor for "Wisconsin" extends to his academic background, having enrolled at the University of Wisconsin at Madison and Marquette University. He graduated from the UW majoring in Medical Microbiology and Immunology and then graduated from Marquette's dental school in 1991. Two years later he achieved a specialty degree and masters in Marquette's highly regarded orthodontic program.
Dr. Todd is certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. The American Board of Orthodontics is the only certifying organization for the specialty of orthodontics that is recognized by the American Dental Association and sponsored by the American Association of Orthodontics. Dr. Todd serves as an adjunct associate professor at the dental school and is a member of OKU's dental honor society. He is a member of the Orthodontic Study Club of Wisconsin, The Trinity Study Club and the Milwaukee Study Club (the local component of the Seattle Study Club). Dr. Todd has served on the Board of the South Shore YMCA and is a supporter of the Strong Kids campaign. Todd's wife Terri and three sons Nate, Jake and Adam reside in the Town of Vernon.

Ann has been with the orthodontic department since 1992. She is responsible for teaching orthodontic laboratory techniques at the graduate and undergraduate level. Ann received her dental laboratory training at Milwaukee Area Technical College. In 1990, she earned her Certified Dental Technician designation in orthodontics. Ann’s career includes more than 26 years in dental technology. Her experience includes working in private orthodontic offices and commercial dental labs. She truly enjoys working with the students and being a part of Marquette’s School of Dentistry.

Cynthia was raised in Fond du Lac, WI. She moved to Milwaukee in 1978 and has been with Marquette University for 32 years. She worked in prosthodontics at the dental school until October 1993 when she moved to the orthodontic department. Cynthia is married to Dr. Michael Grady, who is also a full time faculty member at the dental school. Cynthia has 2 children. Her daughter, Emily, is a 2004 graduate from the Marquette dental hygiene program. Her son, Ross, will graduate from Marquette in 2011 with a political science/economics degree.
Mary is Wisconsin born and raised. She has worked at Marquette since October 1983. Mary started out working in the 'operative' department and moved in to CPMG 4 in May 1991. She transferred to Orthodontics in January 1995 and still works there. Mary enjoys going to the movies and spending time with her family and friends. She watches her home town teams in sports: Packers, Brewers and Bucks.
Kathie grew up in Chicago, Il and moved to the Milwaukee Area in 1996. After years of Dental Assisting in both General Practice and Oral Surgery offices, she started at Marquette in the Continuing Education department. She transferred to the department of Orthodontics in January 1999. She is currently the Administrative Assistant in Graduate Orthodontics. Kathie & her husband Mark have raised 5 wonderful children and now reside happily with their two Bishon Frise puppies.
Sue has been a dental assistant for Marquette Orthodontics for 13 years and worked in private practice a number of years before that. She graduated from Hennepin Technical College in Minneapolis,MN and have been working in Orthodontics ever since. She is nationally certified in general dentistry and orthodontics.
