LynnAnn B. Bryan, Clinical Assistant Professor
Surgical Sciences-Periodontics, 
has written a textbook chapter, “Root Morphology and Instrumentation
Implications” in Dental Hygiene Theory and Practice. This text is one of two
comprehensive texts that are used by nearly all dental hygiene programs in the United States.
Dr. Seokwoo Lee has received awards from the AAE Foundation.
Dr. Lee was awarded a research grant in support of his proposal:
"Identification of Virulence Factors of Enterococcus Faecalis."
He also received an award for submitting a high-caliber research grant proposal that exemplifies the protocol the Research and Scientific Affairs Committee looks for in each proposal. His proposal received the top ranking score of all non-resident applicants.

Dr. Sadeghi receives the WDA's 2009 President's Award of Honor

The WDA Board of Trustees has selected Dr. Ezedin Sadeghi to receive
the 2009 President's Award of Honor in recognition of his 100th case
study being published in the WDA Journal. Dr. Sadeghi is associate professor of Dental Surgical Sciences/Oral Pathology.
Dr. Hodgson delivers lecture from Iraq
This September 14th, Dr. Brian Hodgson delivered a morning lecture to students in lecture hall 188, from his station in Iraq.
The lecture was on the prevalence of autism and its recognition
in the patient population.
Dr. Okunseri honored for research by National Dental Association

Dr. Christopher Okunseri, assistant professor of Dental Clinical Services, has received the 2009 National Dental Association Foundation/Colgate Faculty Recognition Award in the research category. The award highlights the achievements of minority faculty who have demonstrated excellence
in professional development in research.
