The honoring and induction of students who distinguish themselves in
scholarship, loyalty and service at Jesuit institutions of higher education
is the primary purpose of Alpha Sigma Nu. Each of our member institutions
inducts annually.
The Society encourages those so honored to understand, to appreciate
and to promote the ideals of Jesuit education; to encourage the establishment
and proper functioning of Chapters in accredited Jesuit institutions
of higher education, as well as the establishment and proper functioning
of Alumni Clubs.

What is Alpha Sigma Nu?
Alpha Sigma Nu is the honor society of Jesuit institutions of higher education. The society was founded in 1915 to honor a select number of students each year on the basis of scholarship, loyalty, and service. Alpha Sigma Nu is unique among honor societies in that it seeks to identify the most promising students in Jesuit schools. Inductees demonstrate an intelligent appreciation of and commitment to the ideals - intellectual, social, moral, and religious - of Jesuit higher education. Selection to Alpha Sigma Nu is one of the highest honors that can be given on a Jesuit campus.
Who is eligible to join?
Juniors, seniors and graduate students who are in the top 15% of their
class and have a demonstrated record of service and loyalty to the Jesuit
ideals of education.
Why should I join?

Only 4% of students are invited to membership.
What are the benefits?
Lifelong membership, networks and collegiality with a remarkable group of people from all 30 Jesuit institutions in the United States, plus two in Canada and one in Korea. The society has an online member directory with 45,000 plus current names with contact information.

Societies, ACHS.
