Objectives

1. Increase awareness, interest and knowledge of nursing career opportunities and related educational requirements for middle and high school students from disadvantaged and/or underrepresented backgrounds and their parents, guidance counselors and teachers; provide focused pre-entry preparation and application assistance to recruit high schools students interested in pursuing nursing.
   
   
2. Provide financial support, specifically scholarships for BSN students and stipends for BSN and high schools students from disadvantaged and/or underrepresented backgrounds, to increase access to and ensure completion of baccalaureate nursing education.
   
   
3. Increase matriculation, retention, graduation rates and leadership competencies of nursing students from disadvantaged and/or underrepresented backgrounds.
