  Pre-Admission Intensive (PAI) Program  
 

The PAI is a 4 day overnight program which provides an opportunity for students to experience college life. Activities to help prepare for their 1st year & beyond at MU include, but not limited to: 

  • Orientation to the library (Martha Jerme, librarian)
  • Sessions on test & note taking, time management (Student Educational Services)
  • Test anxiety & how to cope w/ being away from home (Counseling Center)
  • Orientation to Micro Soft Office 2007
  • A mock Intro to nursing class (Gloria Rhone)
  • Writing Center presentation
  • University scavenger hunt

In addition, each participant will receive a Survival Kit (MU College of Nursing backpack w/ pens, pencils, folders, flash drive, etc.). Registration will be accepted until capacity is reached.

This project is supported by funds from the Division of Nursing (DN), Bureau of Health Professions (BHPr), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to  Create Nursing Workforce Diversity.
