In the new (since 1999-2000) POSC major, a political science major requires thirty-three credit hours of POSC courses in one of four tracks. You may wish to downloand and print: Political Science Major Requirements Worksheet in pdf format.
The thirty-three semester hours will include at least two upper-division writing development courses.
At least fifteen hours of the POSC courses must not be counted toward another major.
Students may wish to write a senior thesis.
There are special requirements for teaching majors.
If you started at Marquette during or prior to 1999-2000, you are eligible to complete your degree with the pre-1999 major requirements.
