Master's Course Requirements

 

Registration Note:

The course offerings for the Master's degree in Dispute Resolution are now available for registration on the Checkmarq system.  Only students admitted and enrolled in the Master's degree program for Dispute Resolution will be able to enroll for these courses.  Please consult our schedule page for information on class meeting times and dates.  If you have further questions, please contact the Center at 414-288-5535.

 

The courses and program requirements have been finalized and are as follows: 

 

MASTER’S REQUIREMENTS

The master in dispute resolution requires 33 hours of dispute resolution courses. 

Students must choose either Plan a (thesis) or Plan B (capstone project).  Students in Plan A must enroll for six thesis credits after the thesis outline has been approved by their program adviser and by the Graduate School.  Similarly, students in Plan B must enroll in six capstone project credit hours after the project outline has been approved by their program adviser and by the Graduate School.  Regardless of the plan chosen (Plan A – thesis or Plan B – capstone project), students must complete the program within six years.  Students are expected to earn a B or above in all courses and must maintain a 3.00 cumulative grade point average to earn the MDR.
