Yes. All incoming first-year students are expected to complete AlcoholEdu. Even if you don't drink, it's very likely that during your college experience you will know others who do. At the very least, alcohol use may be a topic of discussion among fellow students; the course includes material on managing peer pressure. As well, one of the purposes of the course is to provide the entire incoming class with a shared baseline of knowledge and awareness of alcohol issues, and to strengthen a shared set of campus norms and expectations around alcohol use.
Not as a member of the entering first-year class. Depending on what student organizations you become a part of, completion of AlcoholEdu may be asked or required of you by your organization.
No. But you must contact us at alcoholedu@marquette.edu with the following information so that we can verify your completion of the course:
--Your full name
--The name of the other college or university
--The Greek organization (if applicable)
--The approximate months and year you took the course.
--What if my computer freezes or crashes, or I experience other technical difficulties?
