Teach for America Coordinator
Tyra Hildebrand began her role as the Teach for America Program Coordinator in December of 2010. In that capacity she oversees the admissions process for incoming corps members as well as ensures current corps members meet all teacher licensing requirements throughout their two year program of study at Marquette.
Tyra is a former middle school social studies teacher and school administrator who has worked in Milwaukee and Minneapolis. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree and secondary teacher’s license from Connecticut College and her Master’s degree in Education from Harvard University. Prior to her position at Marquette, Tyra was a faculty member at Concordia University Wisconsin where she served as the Director of the Teacher Certification Program for several years. She is currently working on her doctoral degree in Educational Policy and Leadership at Marquette.
