College of Education
Office: 126B Schroeder ComplexProgram and Recruitment Coordinator/EDPL
Lori Fredrich is a writer, wonderer, bon vivante, traveler, cook, gardener, blogger, and girlwonder. Born and raised in the Milwaukee area, she has tried to leave many times, but seems to be drawn to this quirky city that smells of beer and alewives.
Lori came to Marquette University in 2000, after earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin in English and humanistic studies and studying classics at the University of Iowa. Impressed with her knowledge of dead languages, the College of Education adopted her and she has been a fixture ever since.
During her tenure in the College, Lori has worn many hats. Most recently, her work focuses on student recruitment and retention, particularly at the graduate level. She is involved in a myriad of writing projects -- for both print and Web -- and she has spear-headed a variety of marketing and recruitment initiatives for the College. In her spare time, Lori writes news articles, edits the alumni newsletter, Aequitas, and maintains the College of Education's Web site.
