Dr. Lisa Edwards, Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology, was recently named in Milwaukee Magazine as one of 36 exceptional young leaders who are forecasted to be instrumental in leading the city of Milwaukee into the future.

During the spring term, Dr. Edwards will continue her work in this area by focusing on a project in the community that deals with stress and coping among Latina adolescents. She will also expand upon her research dealing with the influence of culture on the prevention of early sexual behavior among Latino youth.
