Dean Henk Talks About Alternative Education on WUWM Lake Effect

Each year, WUWM does two in-depth series on a topic of importance to the community, called "Project Milwaukee." This spring, the focus of the series, which runs from May 29 - June 4th is on Milwaukee Public Schools and the barriers to success it faces.

On Tuesday, June 1st, Mitch Teich of WUWM's Lake Effect interviewed Dean William Henk about what traditional schools of education can learn from the alternative teaching certification model. He discusses what goes into the development of the the curriculum for Marquette's education program, the types of candidates Marquette seek out, and the type of student who is attracted to Marquette's program.
