SOE Alums Share Stories at "Destination Dinner"

Released: 2/21/08

Three School of Education alumni will share their stories at the Marquette University MANRESA project's upcoming Destination Dinner. The dinner, entitled "I Touch Lives—I Teach!", will be held on February 26, 2008 in the Lunda Room in Marquette's Alumni Memorial Union.

The featured alumni include Jeni Berthold (1997, Grad 2007), a teacher at Madison Elementary in Wauwatosa, Erico Ortiz (1979), who works as an administrator for Bradley Tech, and Allison Quandt (2005), who serves in the administration at Notre Dame Middle School.

Destination Dinners are held twice each semester. They explore -- in conversation and sharing of wisdom -- lived journeys by many who have asked important questions about the meaning and purpose of life. Presenters talk about how they developed their own leadership ability, discovered their own vocation, grew in faith, melded family and career, and continue to shape their lives. On February 26, these three Marquette alumni will share stories about their work in private and public schools in the metro area.

The event is free, and dinner is served. E-mail the Manresa Project for more information.
