About the Journal:
The Graduate Journal of Counseling Psychology (GJCP) is an academic psychology journal designed exclusively for counseling psychology graduate students enrolled in the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology (COEP) at Marquette University. The journal was created to feature graduate student research and to disseminate that research research to the greater scientific community. Published articles include theoretical and empirical research spanning broad domains of interest relevant to the field of counseling psychology.
GJCP features the work of graduate students working either independently or in collaboration with other graduate students, alumni, faculty, and other professionals. GJCP was developed to provide graduate students the opportunity to publish, as lead authors, clinical/practice-oriented and experimental research on issues relevant to the field of counseling psychology. The central mission of GJCP is three-fold:
- Encourage research interest and involvement among early career graduate students
- Help graduate students improve scientific writing skills and present their findings
- Disseminate high quality graduate-level research relevant to the field counseling psychology
Thus, GJCP is selective with regard to articles chosen for publication. GJCP is especially interested in a variety of topics:

GJCP operated and managed by the GJCP Journal Committee, which is a subcommittee of the COEP Graduate Student Organization (COEP GSO).
