Ph.D. Program in Counseling Psychology

The scientist/practitioner Ph.D. Program in Counseling Psychology at Marquette is accredited by the American Psychological Association. It focuses on building the skills necessary to become counseling psychologists in schools, hospitals, private practice, and other environments; administrators; or academic psychologists. The program also engages students in the research process so that they will be able to contribute to our understanding of therapy process, treatment effectiveness, normal and abnormal human development, as well as many other areas. The Program is offered by the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology which is one of the departments in the School of Education.
