Susan Stang has been the Director of Field Placements and Licensure since 1998. In that capacity she oversees all admissions to the teacher education program, secures all field placements and student teaching placements, and works closely with administrators and cooperating teachers in parochial schools and the Milwaukee Public School system. In the area of licensure, she is responsible for assisting students with licensure issues, reviewing, approving and endorsing teacher license applications as well as preparing yearly licensure reports to the Department of Public Instruction.
Susan also serves as an advisor to undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students, and assists in the coordination of the newly developed alternative teacher certification program.
Prior to her position at Marquette, Susan was a faculty
member and Director of Student Placements at Alverno
College, where she worked in the areas of developmental
disabilities, supervision, portfolio
development and performance assessment.
Susan's professional affiliations include: National Field Director's Forum, Association of Teacher Education (ATE), and Phi Delta Kappa.
