The School of Education would like to congratulate Dr. Sharon Chubbuck, Assistant Professor in Educational Policy & Leadership, who was recently nominated for a hALL STAR award by the Marquette University Office of Residence Life.
The hALL STAR awards were created to honor faculty who have contributed their energy, efforts, and time to programming within a residence hall or university apartment community. Marquette students nominate exceptional faculty for their work in and outside of the classroom.
Dr. Chubbuck has participated in a number of events for Marquette students. She has presented for the past three years at the JUSTICE Teach-in – a two day workshop sponsored by the student group of the same name on campus. This year, her talk was entitled “What is Social Justice and What Does it Have to do with Education?” Dr. Chubbuck also gave a presentation to the Mashuda Residence community about public education and social justice during the fall 2006 term. |
