From Melting Pot to Cultural Understanding - American educators today are challenged to provide an equitable education for all students-no matter what their cultural, ethnic or socioeconomic background. Teacher training programs on college universities are the first step toward ensuring children will be working with culturally competent professionals in the classroom. Dr. Sharon Chubbuck, Assistant Professor of Educational Policy and Leadership Studies at Marquette University is my guest to talk about diversity and teacher training.

The self-declared mission of Focus on Diversity is "to enhance the significance of diversity in business, our social environment and government. We do this by informing the public through our broadcast television program, weekly diversity newsletter, and web presence; as well as our marketing / communications services."
