Casey Holtz Receives Greater Milwaukee Foundation Grant
Released: 2/26/07
The School of Education is pleased to announce that Casey Holtz, a 2006 graduate of the master’s program in counseling and current student in the doctoral program in counseling psychology, received a $5000 research grant from the Greater Milwaukee Foundation.
The Greater Milwaukee Foundation awarded grants to support research that addresses health issues of low-income children and/or prevents childhood diseases associated with poverty. This $5,000 grant was awarded to support the development of the Toddler and Preschooler Behavior Scale. The primary goal of this project is to improve the early detection of significant behavior and emotional problems in young children (0-5 years old) from low socio-economic backgrounds.
Casey Holtz has worked closely with Dr. Robert Fox in pursuing this grant, and will continue to work with him closely throughout the grant. Congratulations go out to both of them for a job well done.
