The administration, faculty, and staff of the Marquette University School of Education proudly announce continuing accreditation by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). Accreditation was granted by the Unit Accrediation Board of NCATE in late April.

NCATE -accredited schools must meet rigorous standards set by the profession and members of the public. Teacher candidates must have in-depth knowledge of the subjects they plan to teach as well as the skills necessary to convey that subject matter so that students can learn. The institution must have partnerships with P-12 schools that enable candidates to develop the skills necessary to help students to learn. Candidates must be prepared to understand and work with diverse student populations. University faculty must model effective teaching practices, and the school must have the resources, including information technology resources, necessary to prepare candidates to meet new standards.

Special thanks go out to our partners, colleagues, alumni, students, and friends for their support of the School of Education's high quality education programs!
