The Hartman Literacy and Learning Center recently received a $50,000 gift from Roy and Bobbi Reiman. The Reiman’s generosity will sustain the Hartman Center for nearly two years.
Roy Reiman is the founder of Reiman Publications, headquartered in the Milwaukee suburb of Greendale. Reiman Publications boasts seven magazines ranked among the top 100 in national circulation. Combined circulation for Reiman's 12 major bimonthly magazines is more than 15 million. The magazines include Country and Country EXTRA, Farm & Ranch Living, Country Woman, Reminisce and Reminisce EXTRA, Taste of Home, Crafting Traditions, Quick Cooking, Country Discoveries, Light & Tasty, and Birds & Blooms. In April 2002, Mr. Reiman sold his company to Madison Dearborn Partners of Chicago, which in turn sold the company to Reader’s Digest Association, Inc. in 2005.
The Reimans chose to direct their support to the Hartman Center because of their belief that reading is the foundation for everything in life.
