Gloria Ladson-Billings to Visit Marquette

The School of Education is pleased to be hosting an event featuring Gloria Ladson-Billings as part of the Marquette Mission Week. Gloria is a professor of education at UW-Madison, a nationally renowned teacher educator, and President-Elect of the American Educational Research Association.
Dr. Ladson-Billings will join faculty for a luncheon at noon on Tuesday, February 1st and will be giving a public address at 4:30 in AMU Ballroom B (reception will follow). Her talk is entitled, “What if we leave all the children behind? The challenge of teaching in the new millennium.” Her remarks are sure to draw upon her seminal work on teaching minority children in urban school settings.
