NameAs the Department Chair, I would like to welcome you to our Department’s webpages.

Electrical and Computer Engineers tackle some of the world’s most important technological problems. They design, develop and maintain power systems to provide clean and sustainable power to homes and factories. They design global communication networks, electric vehicles, smart robots, and novel multimedia devices. They develop algorithms to control space vehicles, detect anomalies in the human body or explosives in a suitcase, predict earthquakes, and inject the right amount of drugs into a patient’s body.

A degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Marquette University will prepare you for a rewarding career where you can really help people and make a difference. Because of the tremendous need for these skills, Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering are consistently among the most sought-after and highest paid degrees by employers.
