Marquette University is proud to offer The Engineering Leadership Academy for students entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year of high school.  Students interested in learning about engineering will spend a week at Marquette University exploring engineering disciplines while interacting with faculty from the mechanical, environmental, computer, civil, electrical, construction, and biomedical engineering departments.  Participants will work in state-of-the-art laboratories, view demonstrations, use science and math skills, and partake in many hands-on activities. While on campus, students will stay in one of the premier dorms, eat meals in a residence hall cafeteria, and get to experience a week in the life of a Marquette engineering student. Evening activities are planned to give students the opportunity to experience all the fun available at Marquette and in Milwaukee during the summer! Space is limited - 36 students will be selected based on the quality of their applications.

The Engineering Leadership Academy - APPLICATION CHECKLIST

• General Information – filled out completely
• Student Essay – typed, double-spaced, one page maximum
• $100 program deposit – check written to “Marquette Engineering Outreach”
• Student & Parent Agreement – signed and dated by student and parent(s)/guardian(s)
• Teacher Recommendation – use form provided
