Graduate Programs Electrical and Computer Engineering
Our graduate program offers both Master's and Doctoral level programs leading to the M.S.E.E. and Ph.D., respectively. We also offer non-degree graduate level certificate programs and a 5 year BSEE/MSEE degree program and a 5 year BS-Physics/MSEE program.
An emphasis on research is one of the key differences between undergraduate and graduate programs. Areas of specialization within the graduate programs include
- Antennas and Propagation,
- Computational and Artificial Intelligence,
- Communications,
- Control Systems,
- Electric Machines and Drives,
- Materials Characterization,
- Signal and Speech Processing, and
- Smart Sensor Systems.
Several research centers at Marquette University are based primarily in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, including the Speech Processing Center, the Center for Sensor Technology, the Material Science and Technology Center, and the Intelligent Systems and Controls Center. Undergraduate and graduate students are not only eligible, but also encouraged to work on cutting edge projects affiliated with these and other centers.
