Welcome to the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering

Electrical and Computer Engineering are the largest engineering fields.

Electrical Engineering involves the generation, transmission, distribution of electricity and the different uses that we make of it.  Computer Engineering involves the design, manufacturing, and programming of computers to solve diverse problems for society and industry.  Electrical and Computer Engineering are involved in virtually everything we touch and electrical and computer engineers conceive, design and maintain these devices and systems.

Both undergraduate and graduate programs in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering provide a state-of-the-art technical education in electrical and computer engineering from within the distinctive character of Marquette University to provide our students with a superior educational experience.

Please feel free to surf our department Web pages to learn more about our mission, undergraduate and graduate programs, faculty expertise, laboratories and special student scholarships.  The Overview section provides a bridge to other web resources for prospective students; current students, both graduate and undergraduate; faculty; alumni and friends.  Visit the Programs section for specific information about our undergraduate and graduate programs.  Be sure to click on the Faculty & Staff, Centers & Laboratories, and Research links for previews of our people and their work and facilities.  And – click on the News link for the latest news from the EECE Department, including the most recent colloquium schedule.
