- Greenheck Chair Launches Transformational Curriculum
Robert C. Greenheck, Chairman Emeritus of the Board and co-founder of Greenheck Fan Corporation in Schofield, Wisconsin, has endowed an exciting new faculty Chair critical to your College in developing a new curriculum. The $5 million endowment will create the Robert C. Greenheck Chair in Engineering Design, focusing on the development of innovative design and problem-solving skills throughout a student’s four-year curriculum.
- Dr. Fournelle Honored for Outstanding Professional Achievements
Dr. Raymond Fournelle, Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, was honored in May’s commencement exercises at the University of Missouri-Rolla – his Alma Mater – for his outstanding professional achievements in Engineering. Dr. Fournelle will be awarded the Professional Degree of Metallurgical Engineer.
- College Coordinates FIRST Robotics Competition
College of Engineering was recently involved in Wisconsin Regional Competition of FIRST Robotics. COE faculty and staff proudly observed as three Milwaukee area high school teams to which they provided mentoring and sponsorship competed against teams from 31 other high schools from the Midwest.
- International Service Learning in Guatemala
COE team journeyed out of the country this past break with Dr. John Borg, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, to place online a solar-powered water pump system in a remote village in Guatemala.
