All Marquette University English graduate students are members of AEGS, and they elect members of the Executive Committee at the end of each academic year for the next academic year. The executive committee consists of four administrative offices (president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer); three liaisons to departmental bodies and committees (Graduate Studies Committee, First-Year English Committee, Faculty, and Preparing Future Faculty); and three liaisons to student groups (First-Year MA students, Second-Year MA students, and PhD students) in the recognition that the needs and concerns of these groups can be particular to them. The primary function of all liaisons is to be in regular contact with the faculty and/or students that they represent in order to act as a conduit between that group and AEGS. |
