Jason Nado
Lecturer

I completed my doctoral dissertation, entitled "'Do Your Will': Shakespeare's Use of the Rhetoric of Seduction in Four Plays," in January, 2006 and graduated with my Doctor of Philosophy in May, 2006.  For my docotral work, I specialized in medieval and Renaissance British literature.

I hold a Bachelor's ( magna cum laude ) and Master's degree from Minnesota State University.  For my Master's work, I focused on Nineteenth Century British literature, film studies, and college composition theory.  My Master's thesis is entitled, "'These Pages': A Bakhtinian Approach to the Narrative Structure of Charles Dickens' Bleak House ."

My teaching career at Marquette University began in August, 1997.  I have taught the following classes: "Rhetoric and Composition I and II," "Introduction to Drama: The Drama of Anxiety," "Survey of British LIterature I: Beginnings to 1750," and "Survey of British Literature II: 1750 - Present."

Currently, I am pursuing a Master's in Leadership Studies and a Master's in Dispute Resolution at Marquette University.  My areas of interest include Mediation, Negotiation, and Organizational Leadership.  These degrees are in preparation for further coursework and degree preparation in High Education Administration, Training, and Policy.
